Meatballs

Ingredients:

1 lb ground beef

2 onions, finely grated

1-2 cloves garlic, crushed

1-2 tsp salt (2 tsp makes them very tasty)

~1/4 tsp pepper

1 tsp oregano

1 egg

6-7 slices bread (soak in water or milk and then squeeze it out)

~1 Tb fresh mint and/or parsley (optional)

~1 tsp ouzo (optional)

Preparation:

Mix ingredients in large bowl. Knead mixture (with your hands) and shape into meatballs. You can either bake them (healthier) or fry them. Fry in corn or olive oil until browned on all sides. If you bake the meatballs, line tray with aluminum foil and brush with oil so they don't stick. Bake at 350F/180C for about 30min, flipping them after 20 min or so.

NOTE: If you use meat leaner than 90%, they will stick while baking.
