Nikos Kalligeris is a Principal Researcher at the Institute of Geodynamics of the National Observatory of Athens (NOA). He holds a Ph.D. (2017) in Civil Engineering from the University of Southern California (USA) and the primary focus of his research is in the fields of nearshore hydrodynamics and tsunami hazard assessment. Before joining NOA, he was a Postdoctoral Scholar at the University of California, Los Angeles (USA).
His primary research interests include nearshore hydrodynamics; coastal engineering; tsunami hazard assessment; tsunami field surveys; experiments in fluid mechanics; coastal flood modeling; harbor resonance.
