500 gr (~1 lb) kaseri cheese (it's a semi-soft, not too salty cheese)
1/4 tsp pepper
1/2-1 cup milk
1/2 lb phyllo
2 Tb melted butter and/or olive oil
Beat the eggs and add the pepper and the cheese (grated). Put a layer of phyllo on baking tray. With pastry brush spread butter over it and repeat for 6-7 layers of phyllo. Add cheese mixture and cover the filling with 7-8 more layers of phyllo (continue spreading butter). Score into serving portions and pour milk on top. Let stand for about 1 hour or until milk is absorbed.
Bake at 375F/190C for 50-60 minutes or until golden brown.
